Scholarships
Each year, we are excited to offer a limited number of scholarships for those in need; scholarships are a result of gracious contributions by community members from all around New England and the U.S. We offer as many scholarships as we receive funding for (all donations towards the scholarship fund we receive to directly to pay for scholarship registrations). We ask that you please only apply for financial assistance if you truly are in need of it, and if you would be unable to attend without it. Even so, we cannot guarantee scholarship funding for everyone who applies; but we'll try!In order to provide financial assistance to as many people as possible, we can't award full scholarships, and are only awarding funding to provide partial support for attendance.
The conditions for a scholarship are as follows:
- All scholarships offer entrance to SpiritFire Festival at the reduced rate of $160.
- The $160 registration fee is due in full by May 1st. If full payment is not received by that date, the scholarship offer will be rescinded and it will be given to someone else.
- No extra work is required from those receiving scholarships, but those who receive scholarships are expected to sign up for regular community work shifts, just as are all other festival attendees.
Thank you for taking the time to apply; there are always more applicants than we have funding for, and we hope you will be able to find a way to join us even if we aren't able to provide a scholarship for you this year. You should receive a confirmation note from us soon after we receive your application; notification of awards will be completed as soon as we possibly can, but no later than April 7th.
APPLICATION DEADLINE is April 1st. We need to receive your application by this date; due to registration deadlines and the likelihood that funds will be distributed quickly, late applications will not be considered. Sorry!
